Stargazer Fish (Uranoscopidae)
Stargarzer’s eyes are located on the top of its head. The animal has a large upward mouth. It hides itself in the sand. Sand is a part of its hunting technique because when the prey swims past peacefully and doesn’t notice it. That’s when the Stargazer attacks.
This fish is also known as “Snaggletooths”. It has a very delicate skin but its mouth is filled with sharp needlelike teeth, it possess bioluminescent the process in which it can produce its own light. The Stareater fish uses it to notice prey from far away.
